Our Program
Program History

We provide reading, writing, and computer skills activities for students in youth groups and after school programs. The purpose of these activities is to help students improve their communication skills, creative skills, and computer skills.

The creative writing activities are designed to motivate students to improve their writing skills. As part of the program, students get their poetry, essays, and artwork published in Orbit, our educational publication. Each student in our program may order a free copy of Orbit with his or her published work included.

The reading activities are based on the needs of each student. Vocabulary, pronunciation, and reading comprehension are part of a far-reaching interactive program that includes one-on-one tutoring.

The computer activities focus on Powerpoint, and include desktop publishing and web page design. The students learn to put their poems and essays into different formats while learning important technical skills.

Our activities are aligned with TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills).
